EPA buys Dynamometer equipment from Prime ONE Contracting.

POC has been working with the EPA for over 20 years. Recently, thanks to our expertise and long-standing relationship, we won a bid to update the EPA’s dynamometer assembly. We made some cost-effective updates to their vehicle test cell by replacing the dyno motor and control / power cabinets, while reusing their existing frame deck and rollers to reduce price.

The EPA was provided with one of POC’s very own in-house medium duty chassis dynamometer core replacements (MDCR). POC’s dynos are designed to be high performance and lower in cost, with improved quality and reliability. The dynamometer electrically simulates the forces at the tire/road interface of a vehicle on the highway, effectively replicating all speed, acceleration and braking experiences. The EPA’s new dyno also employs POC’s ISC ‘First’ (Feed Forward Inertia and Road load Simulation Technology) control system.
