Field Service Technician

Prime ONE Contracting is a independent company and a leading supplier in the fields of engine test systems, driveline test systems, brake test systems, wind tunnel balances and emissions test systems. We are seeking a career-minded individual to work out of our Grand Rapids Mi office.

Required Experience

  • Act as a liaison and company representative with customers.
  • Commission test equipment in test cells including Wire, set-up and troubleshoot test and measurement systems.
  • Integrate auxiliary equipment into test system.
  • Set-up monitoring and control of relevant safeties
  • Create documentation.
  • Obtain customer sign-off. Prepare field service reports with sufficient detail for customer invoicing, warranty charges, labor and materials charges, and policy.
  • Perform equipment troubleshooting.
  • Provide technical support and parts and technical question research and assisting with requests for quotations.
  • Help desk consultation.
  • Present training
  • Travel required 30%

Responsiblities 

Need to have more than 3 years of relevant experience, and must already be authorized to work in the United States.

Required Skills

  • Understanding of electrical processes
  • Able to read and understand electrical and mechanical schematics and drawings.
  • Able to perform quality wiring and electrical setup.
  • Basic PLC and Motor Controller experience.
  • Understanding of instrumentation and electrical practices
  • Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of both electronic and mechanical systems.
  • Good knowledge of PC operation, MS Windows, and computer software required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or engineering preferred.
  • Previous industrial experience would be an advantage.
  • Must be able to obtain a passport.
  • Must be able to travel, both domestically and internationally
